It’s been more than a minute – and I do have more booklists coming.  But, having just put up a recommendation in the bookstore I call home (Letters Bookshop), I thought I’d share it here.  In the wake of an election that has made reading White Trash seem like an act of clairvoyance, I took an uncharacteristic turn into the world of poetry, and was pleasantly surprised.  For anyone interested in prose poetry, neocolonialism, Native American experience, or the millenial outlook, check this one out.  Bonus points for the fact that Birds, LLC is donating 50% of book sales to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe until January 2017.

Additionally, if you missed my review of Trevor Noah’s Born A Crime last month, check it out now on Wanderer News!

Thanks, and stay tuned.
